Knotting Spell

A common but underrated type of spell practice are knotting spells. Knotting can be used for several different purposes. There are joining knot spells like hand fasting, or lovers knots. Binding and protection spells to bind a person, an action or a negative presence. Different healing spells from taking away your troubles, anger issues or a physical ailment.

This first knot spell will be a personal one. The purpose of the spell is to help you with whatever your main stresses are at this moment in your life. Choose three. Once done with those three move onto another three and start again. All of them are tied together as that is life. Managing one will trickle down to the rest. This is a 3 knot spell adaptation from the standard 9 knot witches ladder.

Knot Spell 1

What you’ll need:

6 inches of thread or twine. Can be standard plain twine or colorful if that is what you desire

A small mirror (black mirror if you have one)

Scissors

A Quiet Space

Time of Day: Can be done at any time of day that you have a quiet moment to yourself

Instructions:

Clear your space, and remove any distractions. Turn off your phone, t.v. radio and make sure you are in a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted.

Place your mirror on your working surface facing up. Concentrate on the three aspects of your life you would like assistance with. Health and money are usually the first two people will think of, so go even deeper. Is it just finances or what you are spending your money on? Is it just health or a temperament that you are struggling with? For my example I will use Compulsion, Self-Doubt and Savings

Hold your string over the mirror and tie the knots over top of each other tightly. With each knot state the below:

By knot of one the spells begun, you shall be Compulsion

By knot of two state the truth, you shall be my Self-Doubt

By knot of three the spell is complete, you shall be my Savings

Next set your knotted thread on the center of the mirror. Here comes the hard part. Look into the mirror and concentrate on the three knots and their meanings. Channel all that energy into the twine. The mirror helps to intensify the energy.

Once done cut off the excess thread and soak the thread in water. Set it in a safe place to dry over the next week. After about a week start to work at undoing the knots. Depending on how tightly you’ve done the knots and the thread used this could be difficult, which is the point.

The spell is to help unravel those aspects of your life that you want assistance with, and that will not be easy. Spend a little time each day working that specific knot, and think about what that knot represents and what outcome you are looking for. Once the thread is completely undone either burn it or bury it outside.

Pay attention over the next couple of weeks or months for the responses to your petition and any improvements.
