Thanks for stopping by and welcome to Ramvira's Kitchen! A little bit about me. I've delved into the unknown since I was a child from seeing shadows, to making seasonal protection jars (even though I didn't know what they were at the time), and the occasional misstep with a spirit board. I've found that there's a deep heritage of eclectic witchcraft in my family over the years with the help of several different psychics and my own travels to past lives. Without any real formal training I've just stumbled through figuring it out, which is what most of us do. I don't dabble in everything, I use everything. I don't follow a specific path, but combine them all. Depending on what I'm doing I will follow a voodoo practice and ritual or more of a kitchen path like with my orbs and jars. Incorporating different Sigils and Runes as needed. I don't bow down to every deity that's listed out there, but if I had to choose I would have to say it's a toss up with Hekatê & Maman Brigitte, which explains my tendency to collect keys, and my love of the night and crossroads.
Over the last decade I have worked on perfecting my skills and during the last five years I have been able to hone them well. I stick to what I know, and branch out once I become secure in those practices. The protection orbs and jars were something I had started doing as a child. I would gather whatever ingredients I felt were right, and would either mix them together dry or add them to a pot and boil them down. Sometimes both. I would then hide some of these jars throughout the house or put them in windows. It was always about how I felt. As an adult I had started second guessing myself and have returned to the confident persona of the child who just knew, without having to be told why.
Over the years I have made my orbs and jars for friends and family members usually as gifts during different seasons. I have done several tarot readings for my friends and for some groups and have enjoyed them. I definitely enjoy fire spells above all else, and that's why I spell candles. It takes time and energy to imbue a candle with a spell, but I only have to do it once. Then light it to release it. Granted, there's some other steps that need to be taken with certain spells like the nightmare one, but still quite easy.
Dolls or poppets are another conduit I'll use at times. The first ones I ever made were yarn dolls when I was a child which is what I use for my current poppets. The next were dream dolls (like the worry dolls). My Italian Grandmother gave me dream dolls when I was about 6 years old. "Put them under your pillow" she told me. "They'll take all the bad dreams away". They were small and brightly colored. I actually make dream poppets that come with a sachet of herbs, but also make the smaller dream dolls that are perfectly sized for going into a pillowcase.
I'm starting my store off with my orbs, spelling candles, poppets, mirrors, a few sachets and herbs and will continue to add to it. Depending on if there are requests maybe do some tarot readings. Each new addition will be accompanied with a blog post to understand their meaning. Every Tuesday there will be a new post called Black Magick Tuesday. Don't let the name throw you off as it's all in fun. I will post a new spell on those days. The only thing you won't find here are love spells, unless you're looking for something in regards to self love and healing. You should never force someone to love you.
I plan on filling this blog with tips and guidance. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to reach out!
